Recently, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) officially announced the latest list of national-level “Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative” (SRDI) key “Little Giant” enterprises, with DataCanvas successfully making the list. This recognition highlights the company’s “full-stack self-developed” technology roadmap as being highly aligned with China’s strategy of “independent innovation and self-reliance in science and technology,” while fully affirming DataCanvas’s technological innovation capabilities and industrial value in the field of AI infrastructure.
National-level SRDI key “Little Giant” enterprises are carefully selected from among all recognized SRDI “Little Giant” enterprises. They serve as representative companies in strategic emerging industries, tasked with advancing the “Three New and One Strong” mission — cultivating new growth drivers, tackling breakthrough technologies, developing new products, and strengthening industrial chain resilience. Their role is to bolster China’s strategic strength in achieving high-level technological self-reliance.
According to MIIT data, since the launch of the 14th Five-Year Plan, China’s SRDI “Little Giant” enterprises have maintained an average R&D investment intensity of over 7% and hold an average of 22 authorized invention patents. To date, DataCanvas owns more than 400 intellectual property rights and has built intelligent computing reserves on the scale of tens of petaflops, far exceeding industry averages in AI technology and practice. The company has focused its R&D investment precisely on AI infrastructure “chokepoints,” achieving breakthroughs in core technologies such as computing power scheduling and model training, and efficiently translating innovations into real-world applications.
Since its establishment, DataCanvas has adhered to its mission of “Create Intelligence. Explore the Unknown.” continuously advancing independent technological innovation and inclusive computing power strategies. Relying on a complete self-developed AIDC technology stack, an intelligent computing operating system, and an intelligent computing industry chain, it has broken through the technological and resource barriers of AI computing power, making inclusive computing power an accessible infrastructure across industries. Its fully self-developed DataCanvas intelligent computing operating system is the first domestic AI system to pass evaluations by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) across four major domains: computing power scheduling, model training, model inference, and data processing. Based on a “Serverless + reinforcement learning” architecture, it has elevated average computing power costs and efficiency to industry-leading levels. Continuous technological innovation and breakthroughs exemplify DataCanvas’s active practice of the national requirement to “strengthen industrial chain support capabilities,” transforming inclusive computing power into “new quality productive forces.”
This inclusion marks an important starting point for DataCanvas to become a “new benchmark of inclusive computing power.” The company will take this opportunity to further strengthen its core capabilities and align with the development needs of national strategic emerging industries. First, the capability for technological breakthroughs, focusing on key advances in the field of intelligent computing to ensure autonomy and controllability. Second, the capability for ecosystem leadership, driving collaborative development of upstream and downstream SMEs and building a prosperous industrial ecosystem through open-source projects, standard setting, and industry-finance cooperation. Third, the capability for globalized services, enabling inclusive computing power to support the construction of AI infrastructure along the Belt and Road, promoting the global sharing of AI development outcomes.
